I love DIY decorating for high ceiling venue. I think it would add a lot of pizazz...
Here are some of my ideas.
Balloons with LED Lights... now before you scoff at the idea of using balloons, I think they would look excellent at night, and very elegant. Especially if you do a cluster like the ones pictured below.

I hope these suggestions will be helpful in thinking of alternative wedding decorations to the traditional flowers, and if you're blessed with a high ceiling in your wedding venue, then don't be afraid to think up. It could add some drama to the whole place.
