Real Weddings: Katie and Matt

The historic charm of the Old City Cemetery in Lynchburg, VA , brings you to a time none of us would ever remember, and serves as a wonderful backdrop for a wedding under the trees.  In the case of Katie and Matt that would be an old pecan tree complete with a rope swing for the young and old.

While we've been experiencing rainy days filled with grey skies and gloomy afternoons, that particular Saturday was gorgeous, as if they sky opened up just for them.  The weather couldn't be more beautiful or perfect for such a picture perfect wedding.

Although, I was unable to attend, I did receive a few gorgeous pictures of their day.  Katie was as any bride would want to be, beautiful, and Matt looked filled of pride and happiness, as they start their life together as a married couple.

Here is a few pictures Katie shared with me, and I would like to share with you.

You'll see some personalize touches that they added to make their special day a little more personal to them.  The bridal bouquet with the yellow and white flowers added a splash of color that went nicely with the spring day and was hand crafted by Katie's mom.  The sign that a friend crafted for her is a nice reminder of the day.  It's something that is clean and contemporary, and will be a lasting memento.

Congratulations to the couple, and to their new life together as husband and wife. May you have many years together, and as your wedding location was historic, may you never forget the past as you move forward.  Much love to you both.
